Song Lyrics

I was brought up in a Christian home and attended numerous churches. My mother influenced my life in many positive ways despite the fact that my father left my mother, sister and brother when I was just seven years of age. My childhood was filled with typical pastimes-fishing, sports, school, playing my acoustic guitar, and more. I worked in a Christian bookstore my mother managed from the time I was 14 to the age of almost 22. I was married at 21 and divorced at age 34-we did not have children. I played drums and sang on the worship team from 1982 to 1998. Additionally, I led praise and worship for the Cleveland chapter of Flame Fellowship International in the 90's and have been in various men's singing groups. I met the love of my life, my wife now of over 4 years, online. We both had a writing community site on MSN (this time of our lives will be included in a testimony something in the future). Long story short, we marred in 2004, lived apart until October 2005 until she moved to Cleveland from Pittsburgh, PA. We started writing music shortly after we moved in our new home on October 31, 2005, and now want to share our music and testimony of God's saving love and grace through word, and music.

Anna and I share our home with Louie our green-cheeked Conure, our Shepradore puppy (now 9 months and 82#) Spencer (hybrid mix-purebred mom Blue merle Aussie and purebred black lab dad), Pepe Mozart our gentle giant kitty, and Princess Fishy-a male beta (named by my step-grandson Devin). We attend a great church (Trinity) and are in charge of their prayer and praise newsletter and email chain. We fill our home with music and song that glorifies God and this is how our lives will end one day-glorifying the Lord until He calls us home.

I have known what it is to stray, and what it is to return to-and be forgiven by God.
-Eric

~~~~~~~~~~~~~
I was raised Catholic and attended mostly Catholic schools throughout my life including a Catholic University late in life. I was not raised to read the bible but I remember sneaking my grandmother's bible and loved the King James style of writing. Later in life I was introduced to Christianity and evangelism-dedicated my life to the Lord (1980's) and tried to live as God willed. My time renewing my relationship with the Father was short-lived and I was sucked into worldly living, went through 2 divorces, and in general-I lived an egocentric life. I eventually started to plan for the first time in my life--a career that would lead to counseling for I had always been an empathic and caring person. While in the middle of graduate school Eric and I met online (in 2003), courted for 8 months, and married in August 2004. We lived separate for nearly a year while I finished my graduate degree (MS-concentration of professional counseling) at Carlow University in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. Once I graduated, I moved to Ohio to finally live with my beloved. We started attending a great church and renewed our faith in the Lord. Not long after, we both had a calling to start writing for the Lord and that led to our current music ministry. We wanted to try and enhance our music by adding percussion and that is when we discussed purchasing a Djembe. I tried my hand at playing along with Eric on his acoustic guitar and found that the Holy Spirit was guiding me in my playing. We have added other percussion instruments along with a rain stick and love how these instruments enhance our music and lyrics. We haven't recorded yet using the Djembe but this is something we will be doing in the very near future. What started with my writing "All That I Am" has thus far netted us twenty-two original songs-some of which Eric has written.
We have played out at a local woman's shelter twice (booked again for Feb. this year), play at Seekers Coffee House, Eric has done 2 "Writers in the Round" segments at Seekers as well, and recently we were part of the entertainment for our friend's 50th birthday party. I am working on vocals but will probably only record rather than sing before a live audience. Our goal is to initiate a ministry at local prisons, shelters, nursing homes, coffee house, and bookstores as led by the Lord. Aside from our music ministry--I also just completed 2 classes (Psychopathology and MMPI-II YIKESSSS) that will hopefully complete my state requirements along with passing the counseling exam-to enable me to counsel others-of course secular counseling is no longer my goal but the skills I learned will no doubt help me as I journey with others in their walk through life through Christian and scripture-based counseling. Abuse, addictions, and grief work are also my interests. As far as our music and music style goes-we are different-that's for sure. I write lyrical stories geared toward bringing others to salvations door and while Eric's style is a bit different than mine--we have the common goal to reach out to others and bring them home to the Father's embrace and promise of eternal salvation.
PS...We are an eclectic and eccentric couple and this bleeds into our lives personally and professionally...but in a positive way. Eric has acted locally and at my insistence, he is dabbling in dramatic singing as well while working on our latest song titled "Puppet Master's Demise." We have enough music to split into two separate and very different CD's and hope to record soon in a friend's home studio. We prefer to record live and may decide to not ever digitally enhance our work other than add different Fx effects through our guitar amps or by using effects pedals. We will share unmixed demo work soon!
God bless~
Anna
